So what's new in the Leonard household? Katie loved the month of January because her two little friends from our development, Axel and Tomas, were on vacation from their pre-schools, so she had built in playmates. Most mornings were spent racing around on her tricycle, playing with cars, enjoying chasing bubbles, "playing" futbol, and trying stunts on the playground. Have I mentioned that Katie is my little daredevil? With the onset of February, Katie started going to pre-school two mornings a week, both to learn more Spanish and to socialize. Somehow momma wasn't meeting her little social butterfly's need for friends. So far, Katie loves going to school!
Little Emily at nearly 6 months loves watching her big sister. Katie's antics make Emily squeal and laugh out loud. And Katie delights in kissing, snuggling, and showing Emily her toys and books. Emily loves to be in her Exer Saucer pushing up with her legs and manipulating the rattles and toys attached to the top. She loves seeing herself in the mirror, playing with anything that crinkles, and shaking/manipulating pull toys and cloth books. Emily also likes to sit in my lap and listen as I read to Katie, particularly if I am reading something with rhythm and rhyme. I hoping this means she is another future reader!
