A Siesta with Daddy

Ahh ... the cool late afternoon breezes of Cali snuggled in my daddy's arms swinging in the hammock . . . life is good . . .

Cali Zoo

One of the treasures of Cali is its zoo. Katie was particularly mesmerized by these monkeys, one of whom had a little baby hanging from her back while a rather impish male chased her around.

"Shoreness" Confirmed

While almost everyone says that Katie looks just like her daddy, Cali weather brought out a definite Shore trait. Yes, you guessed it . .. humidity inspired curls!

Visiting Family

One of the joys of our trip to Cali was being able to re-connect with my Aunt Ruth (my mom's sister) and cousin Sarah (not pictured) who have lived in Cali for many years. After not having seen them in almost 20 years, it was a wonderful reunion and an opportunity for Katie to meet her great aunt and second cousin. We look forward to seeing them again in October when Sarah gets married!

Rio Cali

For the recent five day weekend (yes, Colombia has a lot of holidays!), Ben, Katie, and I went on a road trip to Cali, a beautiful warm city located about 9 1/2 hours away. Traveling with a 7 month old was an adventure, but I would have to say that Katie was a real trooper. Here is a picture of Katie and I as we walked down by the river that runs through the city.

My New "Toy"

I am so excited! Since we moved into our new place, Daddy and Mommy moved Grandma Leonard's piano into our home. So every night before my bath, I get to play the piano.
