I can read!

Look at what a big girl I've become! With the help of my brace, I can sit up very well in my high chair, and I am learning to turn the pages in books just like mommy and daddy do. This Squishy Turtle and Friends book is one of my favorites because it has cool textures, bright colors, and rhymes.

My Soon to Be Friend

Last Sunday, I went to my first baby shower for my soon to be friend, Maria Jose. Marcela and Alexander are expecting her any day now, and I can't wait to meet her. I'll get to show her how to blow bubbles, "do the worm" on the changing table, roll over, and lots of other cool things. Mommy says that she is arriving two days after I turn 5 months old.

Oh...the Troubles I've Seen

Mommy wanted me to go out of the house like this. Can you believe it?? This is the latest addition in my life. My pediatrician had me get an x-ray that showed that I have mild hip dysplasia, so now I have to wear this brace for three months. This was me the first week. I was not a happy camper . . . I started fussying a lot and not sleeping very well at night because I have to wear this 24 hours a day. But I'm doing much better with it now. Only 9 1/2 weeks to go!!! Do you like my flapper hat??

Exer Saucer Time!

Can you tell all of these pictures were taken on the same day?? Here is my favorite "in house" past time (except playing horsey with daddy). I love my Exer Saucer because I can spin around in it, shake the raddles, bat at the hanging fish and octopuses, and stare at myself in the little mirror. It's a lot of fun . .. almost as much fun as going for rides in the stroller.

Sitting Pretty in My Bouncy Seat

Here is something that I enjoy doing . . . sitting in my bouncy seat batting at the lions and elephants. I sometimes talk to them, but they don't talk back to me.
