Christmas 2007

It was a joy to experience Christmas through the eyes of child! Katie was mesmerized by the lights and colors that sprang up all around Bogota. Although she could not necessarily understand that it was Christmas, she enjoyed watching cookie baking, candle lighting, and Christmas caroling. At this time of year, we are grateful for the gift of Jesus and for the gift of a precious little girl.

During this Christmas season, we enjoyed visits from Denise, a friend from New York, and Nohra, a Colombian friend.

Merry Christmas

Opening presents was a progressive activity for Katie. Each day we opened one or two for her to enjoy.

One of My Favorite Things

I love standing every chance I get! That way I can see everything that is going on around me. While I
can't stand all by myself yet, mommy and daddy think I am pretty strong.

Bonding with Daddy

This is one of my favorite times of the day, bath time with Daddy. Daddy lets me play in the water and stare at myself in the mirror while he sings silly songs to make me smile and laugh. We have a lot of fun together!

Tummy Time

Mommy says that I am getting much better at spending time on my tummy. I used a cry whenever I was on my tummy, but now look at me. I can hold my head up, look all around, and even blow bubbles at the same time. I especially like to be on my tummy when mommy brings Sammy the Snake (a hand puppet) to talk and play with me.
